Washington State Opportunity Baccalaureate Scholarship
This program provides up to $22,500 in
scholarship dollars
and access to career-launching support services for high-demand STEM and
health care majors. WSOS can cover costs beyond tuition, such as
housing, transportation, food, and more. Funding can be used for any
eligible STEM or health care major at any eligible public or private
college or university in Washington state.
Eligibility:
- WA State resident
- Complete the FAFSA or WASFA
- Plan to enroll in a STEM or healthcare related major at an eligible Washington state college or university
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 by the application deadline

Marguerite Mc'Alpin Memorial Nursing Scholarship
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Candidates for this award must be a Washington resident.

themselves.
3. Candidates for this award must be pursing a degree in nursing

Florence Lemcke Memorial Scholarship in Fine arts
The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Washington will award one
(1) Scholarship of $1,000.00 for study in Fine Arts. Fine Arts includes
Painting, Drawing, Photography, Literature, Architecture, Sculpture,
Poetry, Music, Dance, and Drama.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Candidates for this award must be a Washington resident.
2. Candidates for this award must be a child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a veteran.
3. Must currently be a Senior in High School.
4. Must be pursing a degree in Fine Arts

American Legion Auxiliary Department Scholarship
The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Washington will award two (2) Scholarships of $400.00 each.
One $400.00 Scholarship will be reserved for the Department entry for the National President's Scholarship. The remaining Scholarship will be awarded following the rules stated below.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates for this award must be in their senior year of an accredited High School. They cannot have attended an institution of higher learning. Students who earn college credits while in High School are eligible to apply.
- They must be a child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a deceased or disabled veteran.
Application packets can be picked up in the main office, and can be turned in to Mrs. Grosche.

Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship
The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors the Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship to support the children of our warriors. These scholarships are awarded to 15 students annually who excel in academics and volunteer in their communities.
Three $5,000 scholarships are awarded annually per geographic division, for a total of 15 scholarships. These scholarships are for undergraduate study only at an accredited college or university, and may be used for tuition, books, fees, room, and board.
Scholarship Rules:
- Candidates
for this award shall be direct descendants of veterans who served in
the United States Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership
in The American Legion: April 6, 1917, to November 11, 1918; and any
time after December 7, 1941. Membership in The American Legion Family is
not required for this scholarship.
- Applicants must be in their senior year of high school.
- This is a scholarship to attend an accredited institution of higher education.
- Applicants
must complete 50 hours of volunteer service within the community during
their high school years. Hours must be verified in writing by the
recipient organization(s).
Completed applications are due on or before March 1, 2025, 11:59 PM Eastern time.
Judging, at all levels, shall be on the following basis
- 30% - Character/Leadership
- 30% - Essay/Application
- 40% - Academic Achievement

Confluence Health High School Scholarship
If you are planning to pursue a full-time healthcare related degree
program (this does not include Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine) for the
academic year following high school graduation, we encourage you to
apply for this $3,000 scholarship. Preference (though not
required) will be given to students who will be enrolled in Wenatchee
Valley or Big Bend Community College.

Community Foundation of North Central Washington
There are over 150 scholarships available, each with its own specific criteria. Our online application process will ask questions that will determine the scholarships for which you are eligible.
There are two separate scholarship applications:
- General scholarships due March 1
- Nursing/Allied Health/Trades due June 1
It
is recommended that all students fill out the general scholarship
application, and then if you are pursuing Nursing/Allied Health/Trades,
that you also complete that application by June 1st. Completing both
applications will increase the number of scholarships for which you may
be eligible.
Once you complete the application, you'll receive an
email that will include the list scholarships for which you are eligible
and any supplemental questions that may be required to complete.
You should have the following available to complete the application:
- Your high school and/or college transcript
- A list of participation in activities
- Your Student Aid Index (SAI) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Student Aid Report (SAR).
- Email addresses for letters of recommendation (at least one should be a school-related professional, such as a teacher,
counselor, coach, etc.). Some scholarships require recommendations for
three recommenders; check each scholarship fund’s description for
details.
Be sure to read the instructions throughout the
application carefully. Answer each question, including those that may
not be required but are relevant to your situation. If a question isn’t
required and isn’t relevant to your situation, you don’t need to answer
it. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Horatio Alger Scholarships
The Horatio Alger Association administers over 70 scholarship programs,
offering opportunities for students in various stages of their academic careers to achieve their educational goals and realize their potential.

Washington Apple Education Foundation Vocational Scholarship
Applicant must be a Washington state high school senior or current college student. Student does not have to have preexisting ties to the tree fruit industry, but their path of study should align with potential work in the tree fruit industry. Vocational programs include refrigeration, electrical, IT, computer applications, HVAC, machine technology, and others. A full list of eligible programs can be found on the application. This scholarship application is for consideration for funding for the 2025-26 school year. Applicants must be pursuing a vocational degree or certificate at an accredited trade, technical, or community

Washington Apple Education Foundation Universal Scholarship
Current high school seniors and college students raised in families with direct ties to Washington’s tree fruit industry are eligible to apply. The Washington tree fruit industry includes apple, cherry, or pear orchards, warehouses, and affiliated businesses. Ties to the industry include personal or partner/guardian employment in the tree fruit industry, personal or parent/guardian ownership of an apple,
cherry, or pear orchard or warehouse, or personal or parent/guardian
employment in a company directly servicing the tree fruit industry. Employment must be current and have been ongoing for a minimum of 12 consecutive months. Additionally, students with a desire to pursue a degree to work for Washington’s tree fruit industry after graduation may also qualify. If the applicant does not have existing ties to the tree fruit industry, the applicant must want to pursue a degree and career aligned with work in the tree fruit industry to qualify. American Indian Endowed Scholarship
Applications are available now to apply for the 2025-2026 American Indian endowed Scholarship.
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian tribe or community in Washington State
- Intend to his their education to benefit the American Indian Community in this state
- Be enrolled full-time for the 2025-2026 school year, beginning Fall term at a participating in-state college or university
- Have demonstrated financial need (as determined by the FAFSA)
- Be a Washington state resident
- Have not received a total of 5 years of this scholarship
Scholarships generally range between $500 to $2,000 each for the academic year. Finalists are announced in the spring.

Ewing C. Kelly Foundation Scholarship
The Kelly Foundation of Washington is pleased to offer the Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship. High school seniors in the state of Washington are eligible. Applicants
will be judged on citizenship, academic achievement, and financial need. Each award is worth $3,000 and winners will be notified in April.
Applications and all attachments are to be postmarked no later than March 7, 2025.
Please read the application carefully. It contains 3 information pages, 2 financial assessment pages, a checklist and a page including tips for letters of recommendation. It must be accompanied by an official transcript, ACT and/or SAT scores, IF REQUIRED by the college you are attending
(a photocopy or online copies are okay - again NO test scores required
for 2-year schools), plus a personal statement and 2 letters of
recommendation. Incomplete applications will be rejected. All materials must be submitted by the applicant.

WAVE Scholarship
The Washington Award for Vocational Excellence (WAVE) scholarship application is now open.
Graduating Washington high school seniors are eligible. These high school career and technical education (CTE) students must have completed, or be in the process of completing, the equivalent of two high school CTE credits in a single CTE pathway.
Students can be pursuing degrees/certificates in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, agriculture technology and other specialties in high demand by
Washington employers.
A number of factors determine award amounts, including available funding and
where students go to school. At a minimum, students will receive about
$3,900 per year, for two years, or $7,800 total.

Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund Scholarship
Children, step-children, and legal dependents of full- or part-time
permanent federal civilian or postal workers employed with the federal
government for more than three years, as well as the employees
themselves and their spouses are eligible to apply. Some associations
and unions partner with FEEA to provide specific scholarship programs
for their employees, employees’ children, grandchildren, or spouses, or
retirees’ children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. FEEA uses a
common application for all FEEA and co-sponsored scholarships.

Smart Choices WIAA Scholarship
The WIAA is proud to partner with Gesa Credit Union and the Dairy Farmers of Washington to present the Smart Choices Scholarship Program. The 2024-2025 Smart Choices Scholarship Program will award two $5,000 scholarships and eight
$1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from WIAA member high schools for excellence in athletics/activities, academics, leadership and community service throughout their high school careers.
Applicants are required to fill out an application that includes an essay question. Judging is based on the following criteria:
- Athletic/Activity Excellence (30%)
- Academic Achievement (30%)
- Leadership (20%)
- Citizenship/Community Service (10%)
- Originality/Creativity of the Essay (5%)

College Jump Start Show Grit Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship rewards students who demonstrate grit and who continue to push themselves in spite of obstacles or challenges. Attending college is not an easy feat and takes years of commitment to achieve. This is your time to tell us what challenges you have faced and how you’ve demonstrated grit to get to where you are. (If this topic doesn’t speak to you, you may also write about any topic of your choice.)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Current student (high school 10th-12th or college) or planning to enter college within the next 12 months
- U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Complete the online application including the personal statement
- Financial need is not considered nor are grades or test scores

Skagit Farmer's Supply (Country Store) Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded based on scholastic achievement, leadership
in agriculture, and the ability to contribute to agriculture in the
future.

George Washington Foundation Scholarship
The George Washington Foundation scholarship applications are here! Paper copies are available in the office
and MUST NOT be changed in any way. It will be very important to READ
ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! Incomplete applications will not be
considered. One of the requirements is to include a photo. Please plan ahead and have a photo ready before mailing your application.
The
awarded scholarships are restricted to universities, colleges and trade
schools in the state of Washington, primarily community colleges.
However, in the past and, in some instances, scholarships have been
awarded for attendance out of state.
This is a $1050 scholarship that is potentially renewable.
Application packets must be postmarked by April 1, 2025.
Okanogan County Cattlewomen Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is open to any graduation high school student in Okanogan County.

reference. Explain the nutritional benefits of beef. Describe how
conservation is used in Ag as a means to keep Ag thriving and

SeaMar Farmworker Scholarship
Sea Mar recognizes and acknowledges the barriers children of farm working families face in their pursuit of a college degree.
Economic strains, as well as the language and cultural barriers can often affect these students.
Sometimes students need to work after-school and all summer to assist their family.
Sea Mar is proud to provide annual scholarships to help make college a reality.
Who Can Apply?
- Students who work or have worked OR, whose parent/legal guardian is or has worked as a farm worker
- High school senior, incoming college
students and college students, who show commitment to their education,
demonstrate leadership and care about the community
- Exhibit financial need due to individual/family hardship
- Will be enrolling as a full-time student in a higher education institute the upcoming academic year
- Are not applicants who have
previously been a recipient of this scholarship either as a high school
student or college student. Students are eligible for one Sea Mar
Scholarship at the undergraduate level, and one Sea Mar Scholarship at
the graduate level.

SeaMar Latino/a Achievement Project Scholarship
The Latino/a Educational Achievement Project Scholarship Fund provides
financial
support for students who demonstrate a history of advocacy,
responsibility, accountability, and perseverance; are go-getters, and have shown or have the strong potential to be contributors to their community.
Who Can Apply?
High school seniors, new and current college undergraduates and, and new and current graduate students who will be:
- Enrolling in a higher education institute the upcoming academic year.
- Demonstrate a sense of obligation to improving or advancing the community.
- Committed to achieving educational and leadership goals.

Tonasket American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship
Because the Oroville American Legion does not have an Auxiliary, the
Tonasket American Legion Auxiliary is extending scholarship
opportunities to Oroville Students.
Applicants must be a
resident of the State of Washington, and a Senior in High School; and
do
not need to have an association with the American Legion, or a veteran.
Paper
application packets can be found in the main office. Students must
complete the application - in pen - in their neatest handwriting, submit
2 letters of recommendation, provide a response to a short essay
prompt, and their high school transcripts to Mrs. Grosche
